Wide Aperture Linear Image Sensor

CMOS Sensor Inc produces a series of mixed-signal Wide Aperture linear image sensors, integrated digital circuitry, image sensor array and analog circuitry into a tiny silicon chip. The family includes C358 and C378, supporting 1K and 2K active pixels respectively, with selectable 3,200 dpi or 6,400 selectable resolutions.

Besides the rectangular pixel size of 3.9um x 100um for higher sensitivity, these sensors are sensitive to IR and capable of background cancellation.

 

PLCC (Plastic Leadless Chip Carrier) package is available for both sensors, namely P358-P and P378-P.

C378 Linear Image Sensor

  • 2,024 active pixels and 24 dark pixels for dark voltage cancellation.

  • Resolution selectable for 3,200/6,400 dpi (500/1,000 pixels)

  • External gain selectable for gain = 1, 2, or 4

  • 5MHz samples readout rate
